Fresh Fall

Hmm, it's been a long time since I've posted- sorry! Hope everyone had a great summer. I enjoy the fall and am excited to be in a more predictable routine again. Two weeks down of homeschooling and we are all still alive and doing well and even have smiles on our faces!:) Adam is giddy, his word not mine, about the crisp mornings and deer hunting season on the horizon. Kale is off with Grampy and Uncle B to his first ever CMU football game. He kept asked incessantly, "When do I go to 'Go fire up Chips'"? We sold our car which was a huge blessing and answer to prayer. BLBC's Women's Retreat, "Thrive" is next weekend...please pray for all the ladies that will be there and for them to be drawn closer to the Lord in sweet fellowship and to be refreshed and sharpened in their faith. This has been the summer of moving, it started out with our big move to camp the end of May. It is great to be back on camp, but it was a hard move physically (and I had a fractured rib and didn't know it) ! We also helped Dan and Martha move to their first home in Rochester Hills, my sister Laura move to another apartment in Chicago, and the Martin family moved back down to Arkansas. We enjoyed having quite a bit of company this summer- we like when the guest room is used. If you haven't been to see us and camp we would love to have you. Call me to make your fall reservation, as our weekends are filling up fast with camp events and travels!
Banner is walking all over the place, he is quite the fearless, strong little guy (future linebacker perhaps?). Kale is as blond as ever as is speaking much clearer and talking up a storm. Brooke is practicing her Frech accent lately via the "Madeline" books and movies. She is doing a great job at RWA ("Roots and Wings Academy")- the name of our homeschool.:) Our prayer is that God would use us to give our children strong roots in Him and how He has designed them so that they can soar and spread their wings, confident in the Lord and His call on their lives (Isaiah 40). I need to get going...my childhood friend, Jennifer, and I are having "A Day Away" today. Hope you have a fresh and beautful Fall,
Love, Katie
